FauxCoverstm
is the name I chose for the unique and exclusive "artificial/fake"
professional magazine-style images I produce that imitate real magazine
covers.
Why create an artificial magazine cover suitable for
framing, pasting over your favorite magazine or blown up to giant
poster size? Glad you asked!
It's simple: what are the chances that you or
someone you know will ever be chosen to be on the cover of a real
magazine? Generally, there's two; slim and none. Seriously.
Below is A FauxCover I made for myself from a mid-1980s image taken near Boone, North Carolina:

"Ben Ustabes" is a name many friends and myself use
to refer to older folks who seem to have done and/or seen everything,
typically as a term of lighthearted
or bewildered respect. But that was the name I used in jest for myself here in this oh-so long ago "old use-to be" picture.
